GREEN
STORIES
Asia's first mentoring and pitching lab for wildlife and environment documentaries
About Us
Green Stories supports and nurtures nonfiction storytellers from India, South Asia and Southeast Asia through a mentorship program to develop ideas for the production of documentaries on themes around wildlife and the environment. Designed as a unique mentoring and pitching forum the week-long event will be held in Goa. The visual and narrative labs are mentored by industry professionals bringing strategic advice to incubate ideas from filmmakers, finally creating access to a global market through two days of pitching and one on one meetings with decision makers from across industry sectors.

TESTIMONIALS.
Join us to create a meaningful space for wildlife and environment filmmakers from India South Asia and South East Asia - a space where storytellers are at the centre!
At the National Geographic Society, we believe in the power of stories to illuminate and protect the wonder of our world. Central to the power of our stories are the storytellers that dedicate their time, talent and creativity in telling them. For this reason we're honored to work with Green Stories to further support storytellers in India, South Asia and southeast Asia that are dedicating themselves to bringing the world stories that will lead to illumination and protection.

We, at Royal Enfield, believe in the importance of the connections between communities and the natural world, and our aim is to support those who work to protect it. Green Stories aligns with our mission to promote meaningful change and knowledge sharing through storytelling. We are happy to come on board and support this platform that empowers storytellers to explore environmental narratives that inspire both action and reflection.

As the impacts of climate change become more severe and frequent, increasingly our solutions lay in our ability for adaptation rather than climate mitigation. Stories of these lived experiences serve as a reminder of the human spirit’s power to overcome and inspire hope and activism for change. I am both humbled and proud to be invited to support Green Stories vision of fostering an important community of these essential storytellers.

A good documentary by filmmakers intimately involved in the world they portray, inspires empathy – the heart’s intelligence - and reveals the truth in a way no other medium can.
I’m excited to be a part of Green Stories, because I’ve always believed an authentic, indigenous voice is irresistible to the viewer and can carry any issue or cause to the next level.

Director I Producer
Stories have always been a part of the human condition. This is how we connected, how we remembered and how we created. Stories have always held the potential to change things and today we need that change to mean creating real impact, going deeper, beyond just telling a story. The story of climate change and our planet has to become everyone's story to tell.
Gautam Pandey
Director I Cinematographer
As the climate crisis rapidly overtakes our planet, conservation efforts are critical for our survival. Film, with its ability to move hearts and minds, has long been a tool for environmental activism, and Green Stories' mandate to support filmmakers working in the space is both timely and necessary. I am thrilled to be part of this initiative focused on access and platforming for these essential storytellers.
